Vesuvian Tomato

Intense and bright red in color, Vesuviano tomatoes are a small variety that can be harvested in a bunch or as single fruit. The tomatoes are characterized by an elongated oval form – slightly pear or heart shaped – with the top part of the tomato with the sepals clearly visible.
Vesuviano tomatoes are versatile and well appreciated in the kitchen, especially as they make it very easy to prepare sauces. The tomatoes can be blended or passed with the peel on, which tends to be very thin and not at all intrusive.
